Increase Your Sex Drive Q & A
Undue Embarassment
Dear Dr. Seth,
Over the last 2 years I have noticed a steady decline in my libido, to such an extent that I no longer have any interest in having sex and if I do, I do not feel any sensations of arousal. I am female and 29 years old. I am sure this is not normal and I am quite concerned about it. I feel terribly embarassed about discussing this problem with my physician.
What should my next move be??
Suzanne
Dear Suzanne,
On any medications? If not then you need an endocrine check out. This would include thyroid levels, prolactin levels and possibly estrogen levels. Any of those levels can cause an increase in sex drive. Are your periods regular? You need to find a physician who you can discuss this with without undue embarassment.
